Having Fun in Shenandoah County

Every day I love to play and have fun where I live in Shenandoah County, Virginia.

Enjoy the outdoor adventures of hiking, biking, boating, and a cornacopia of recreational activities. Enjoy great food, spirits and places to see.

Not far from Washington DC is an enchanting valley with magical mountains. For example visit the amazing Fort Valley starting in Elizabeth Furnace (https://maps.app.goo.gl/BfnYJai3GfNsVN7E8. ) Or explore the many antiques in Strasburg.

Come to Woodstock and kayak at the Seven Bend's State Park (https://g.co/kgs/a8tsCyZ). Then check out the Muse Vineyard for some afternoon wine and cheese.

Visit the historic Edinburg Mill or eat at the few local restaurants.

Come play Frisbee golf and then have a micro brew at Swover Creek Farm. Travel to Bryce Resort and play some golf or pickle ball or go skiing or mountain biking. Check out the healing Orkney Springs waters and take a beautiful hike around Lake Laura.

On your way back home, you can go to the Covered Bridge in Mount Jackson or even go farther South to see the Shenandoah Caverns or the New Market Civil War battlefield

The Shenandoah County has a wealth of forests since state and national forests comprise 26 percent of its 512 square miles.

Come play here in the heart of the valley. You'll find great refreshment and renewal. Re-create your life and rejoice. Visit where I live in Shenandoah County and have fun!
