Planting Future Seeds

Today, we have tremendous extremes shown both in our weather and wealth.

2024 is the hottest year on record as warming temporarily hits 1.5°C.

In the last decade the costs of climate change due to damages from extreme weather events like hurricanes, floods, and wildfires, impacting economies globally, is over $2 trillion. This does not account for the cost of human life, healthcare, and ecosystem disruption. Just in the US, the cost of climate-related disasters can reach over $150 billion per year.

According to recent data, the world economy is currently around 100 trillion dollars.

Baby Boomers have around $84 trillion in wealth, but their children may not see all that money passed down, the survey says. The average inheritance is expected to be around $320,000, but most Millennials and Gen Z may see less than that due to concerns about rising prices.

A 2023 Fidelity study found that 57% of baby boomers invest in the stock market. However, a FeeX user analysis found that 30% of people between 60 and 65 years old have invested almost all of their assets in stocks

According to a study by Ramsey Solutions conducted in the second quarter of 2023, 33% of Americans have no savings at all, and 51% do not have savings of at least $1,000.

As a baby boomer, let's devise stock investments for our grandchildren. Who else is gonna plant seeds for the future?
