Woman's Future Environmental Leadership

Woman's leadership role on this planet is vital to balancing today's resource, economic and environmental demands. The female voice in this planet's future before has been modest. Woman's environmental leadership has in the past been ignored, neglected and discouraged even though they are on the front lines in dealing with water, agriculture, energy and natural resource management. Also it is woman who bring new life to this planet. However the times are changing from just what is happening here in the United States. In July, Melinda Gates donated $4.3 billion dollars for those 120 million woman who want but can not afford contraception. This is one great example of investing in a better quality of life for future generations. Woman in the U.S. have an enormous economic presence. In the U.S., women control $11 trillion dollars of wealth or close to 40% of the total personal wealth. This is projected to rise almost 60% by 2020. Nearly two-thirds of women are the primary financial decision-makers in their households. Women account for 57% of bachelor’s degrees, 60% of master’s degrees, and 52% of doctoral degrees. Women earning over $100,000 grew by 17% between 2007 and 2010, compared to 2.3% growth for men. Nearly 4 out of 10 working women out-earn their husbands. Woman are both planners and savers and they focus on long-term goals, not short-term performance. They are Inquisitive, collaborative, and decisive Open to taking professional advice. Putting the needs of others first. Letting emotions drive decisions and Being too conservative with investments, Not communicating needs and objectives to loved ones. Woman will be having a greater role in addressing and determining our environmental future.

Despair in Repair

Recently I learned that I have prostrate cancer. For many years my dermatologist has been removing this from my skin. In my recovery may I honor each day as my last. My priceless experiences comes from this celebrating what I been given. How better may I address my mortality then to Face Everything and Recover. When I Frick Everything and Run this other FEAR fosters little repair of my despair. It is challenging to deal with what is happening. Climate change profoundly terrorizes me. First addressing my inner conflicts best allows me to accept outer events. My way out of disaster is to triumph by accepting within. When I become more tolerant this attitude of gratitude renews me.  Such a resilient mindset liberates me. Renewed Light

  It is during our darkest moments that we must focus on the light - Aristotle I am a child of light and my initials are RA. Also this is the name of the ancient Egyptian sun god. Exploring my aversion with darkness allows me greater potential, possibility and purpose since new light always emerges. Winter solstice represents death and rebirth since the sun is at its weakest point. At Xmas it begins a new cycle of rays out of the darkest days. All spiritual traditions celebrate creation itself or this enlightenment of new beginnings. All awakening goes back to the beginning of human consciousness.
